Motorboat Fuel Drains
In the event that there is the wrong fuel, or even contaminated fuel (most usually water contamination or old fuel) in a boat we can help drain it. Providing the boat is either dry-docked, or moored near enough to an automobile parking spot we should be able to reach the tanks and drain out the contaminated fuel. We have successfully done quite a few fuel drains at piers and boatyards throughout the country.
AdBlue In Your Diesel
Throughout East Sussex we have noticed progressively more instances of AdBlue contamination where a driver has poured AdBlue directly into their diesel fuel tank. This is to a certain extent as a consequence of people not being aware of the right way to use it (remember: it is not a fuel additive), and partly simply because the inlets for diesel and AdBlue are generally right close to one another on the vehicle.
Now, precisely what is the situation with putting AdBlue in a diesel tank?
Since the product is predominantly ionised water, it is actually like putting water in your tank. Diesel and water tend not to mix in the least and trying to run a diesel car on water does not work. Moreover, the urea is quite corrosive to your fuel system pipes and seals and is at risk of crystallisation, obstructing injectors and fuel filters. If you poured AdBlue into a fuel tank get it out asap. And obviously never start the car - not even to relocate it into a parking area. In case you have started the vehicle you will in all likelihood have to have the complete fuel system cleaned and filters replaced.
Contact us if it turns out you are a casualty of AdBlue contamination. We can help you. We are Contaminated Fuel Specialists and can handle different types of AdBlue contamination.

Wrong Fuel Assist Beacon Down - Wrong Fuel in Car Beacon Down
I had enjoyed a terrific day cycling on my afternoon off and was feeling contented the following morning as I headed out to aid a young couple who were vacationing in Beacon Down. They'd stopped after adding petrol in their green Land Rover Defender 90, and were around an hour's travel away. I turned up at their car and smiled while I heard to the gal telling her man off for being so daft. "Precisely how could you even manage to put the wrong fuel in the car?" she demanded of him. I wanted to explain that this goes on everyday in East Sussex and that it is absolutely nothing to fret about, and yet he still had an earful by his missus. Unfortunate guy. At any rate, I drained the wrong fuel, gave the motor a flush and gave it some appropriate fuel. While they drove down the road I mouthed good bye and considered what my missus would do to me if I made the very same blunder... I would personally never live it down!
